
Nursing Care Manager




About the Position
As a Nursing Care Manager you will report into the Home Manager and will be responsible for the overall management of the Nursing floor within the home. You will lead shifts and allocate duties to staff. You will build and maintain strong relationships with the staff team, residents and their families as well as other professionals. As a Nursing Care Manager you will have knowledge of each resident’s person-centred care needs and ensure clinical governance is adhered to on a day-to-day basis and that all nursing care practices are evidence-based and reflect current best practice.
As a Nursing Care Manager you will carry out and oversee needs assessments for current and potential residents to make sure the home can meet the individual needs of residents and manage, support and develop care team members including completion of effective inductions, appraisals, one to ones and performance coaching, promoting a culture to enable residents and staff to maximise their capabilities. This is a hybrid practice role covering two 12 hour RGN shifts per week along with 18 hours super numeri. Alternate weekends either Saturday or Sunday.

To support this, you will be able to evidence competency in a range of clinical skills and be familiar with the use of eMar and digital care planning systems. Experience of clinical governance, including leading on clinical risk meetings and auditing using digital platforms is also required. This role has direct line responsibility and we are seeking the ability to lead through influence and ensuring impact by maintaining the motivation, skills and knowledge of the Care and RN team.

Requirements:
- Active PIN registered with the NMC
- Experience working as an RGN
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- You must have the Right to Work in the UK
- Exceptional communication skills and a great team player
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and energise others
